Djibril Tobe
CloseMANAGING DIRECTOR
Djibril Tobe is a seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience across the telecommunications, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and consulting sectors in multiple African markets. He currently serves as Managing Director of Airtel Congo B, bringing a proven track record of driving business transformation, commercial growth, and operational excellence.
Within the Airtel Africa Group, Djibril has held several leadership positions, including Managing Director of Airtel Chad and Commercial Director at Airtel Burkina Faso. Prior to joining Airtel Africa, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Expresso Telecom Guinea and held various leadership roles at Ernst & Young, Coca-Cola West Africa, and Coca-Cola Equatorial Africa across Senegal and Ghana, including Area Manager and Senior Operations Manager responsible for seven countries.
Throughout his career, Djibril has demonstrated strong expertise in business strategy, operational management, market expansion, and commercial excellence, successfully leading organizations through growth and transformation across diverse markets.
Djibril holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lycée Lamine Guèye, Senegal, a Bachelor of Business Management from Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG), France, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School. In 2025, he became a Certified International Director (IDP) from INSEAD, France.
Djibril has been married to Aissata since 1998 and is the father of Coumba, Malick, and Fatima.
Shailendra Singh

Shailendra has over 20 years’ experience in finance within the telecommunication industry.
Prior to joining airtel Kenya he was leading the Revenue Assurance Risk & Fraud Management (RAFM) practice for Bharti Airtel - Africa region as Director Revenue Assurance, Mobile Money & Fraud Management.
He has held significant financial management roles that support the business to maximize revenue market share and improve margins. He is an expert in designing and implementing solutions for different strategic initiatives, focusing on commercial business transformation.
He is a graduate of the Leadership Executive Program for Young Professionals - EPYP, Finance & Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and holds a bachelor’s degree from Bangalore University.
Goldermier Opiyo
CloseCustomer Experience Director
Goldermier has over 18 years in different management roles within Customer Experience.
She previously worked at Safaricom Plc where she held various roles including Head of Contact Centre Operations and Head of Consumer Care where she was charged with front- and second-line support for the Consumer and Enterprise Customer segments.
She is currently responsible for driving Airtel Networks Kenya customer experience across the country where she is a key contributor in the formulation, design and execution of functional strategy.
Goldermier holds a Bachelors of Arts (English hons) Banaras Hindu University, is a certified Global Customer experience manager – GCEM, an ISO QMS lead auditor and certified Project manager (Prince 2 and PMBOK).
Prisca Murigu

Prisca is a chartered marketer (MCIM) with over 13 years of experience within the telecommunication industry. Notably she previously led the customer usage and retention team at Telkom Kenya.
She joined Airtel Networks Kenya as the Head of customer Usage and Retention before transitioning into the current role of Marketing Director in January 2022. She has been key in positioning Airtel Networks Kenya as one of the top brands in the country by understanding consumer archetypes, patterns and attributes which are instrumental in establishing business strategies and products that resonate and add value to the market thus contributing significantly to Airtel’s increased market share and revenue growth.
She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in CIM (Chartered Institute Marketing), master’s degree in business administration, University of Nairobi, Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management, Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and a bachelor’s degree in economics & Sociology Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
Hussein Versi

Hussein has over 19 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He started his career at the then Celtel Uganda in Network planning as well as Operations and steadily grew within the ranks getting exposure from different countries such Malawi and Tanzania where he served as Network Director.
He is currently responsible for delivering the growth of Network coverage nationwide and data services through the latest technological evolution of 4G and 5G. Hussein is credited with leading the fastest site roll out in Africa, a feat for which the team has received recognition twice across all the African Countries. In addition, he led the teams to winning the Win With Network accolade during his tenure in Malawi and Tanzania.
He holds MSc in Broadband and Mobile Communication Networks from University of Kent, Canterbury, UK; Mini MBA in Telecoms; bachelor’s in engineering (Electronics and Communication Engineering), University of Kent, Canterbury, UK and has a Harvard business school certification in Sustainable business strategy.
Albert Nduatih

Albert boasts over 18 years of expertise in Information Technology and Telecommunications, demonstrating a proactive, adaptable, innovative, and resourceful approach. As a seasoned Business Technology Leader, he possesses a wealth of knowledge in digital transformation of organizations, architecture simplifications, operations, agile project management, and governance.
In his current role, Albert oversees the management of Information Technology and Engineering teams, while directing information communication technology initiatives, and spearheading the execution of technical special projects.
Albert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Kampala International University, he is an accredited Certified Information Communication Technologist (CICT), a Certified Public Secretaries (CPS) level 3 certification from KASNEB and additionally, he is recognized as a Certified ISO 9000:2008 Series Auditor/Lead Auditor by BUREAU VERITAS.
Joy Nyaga
CloseLegal & Regulatory Director
Joy has over 20 years of hands-on experience in diverse legal & regulatory environments. She previously worked for Wells Fargo/Fargo Courier Kenya Limited as the Corporate Head of Legal and at Kenya Airports Authority where she was the Chief Legal officer/ Corporation Secretary. Prior to the in-house roles, she was in private legal practice.
She helps organizations navigate complex legal and compliance operating environments which guides businesses in achieving their goals. At Airtel, she oversees the Legal and Regulatory function which manages government relations & policy, data protection, litigation, corporate governance and supports compliance management frameworks.
This critical function ensures that the business is well advised on regulatory matters and protected through effective legal advisory & resolution of conflicts.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from UoN and a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She is also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Public Secretary of Kenya CPS(K) and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at JKUAT.
Joseph Kariuki
CloseSupply Chain Management Director
He is an accomplished Supply Chain professional with over 20 years industry experience spanning across telecommunication firms, Power utility and Food Processing. He was previously the GM, Sourcing at Airtel Africa where he managed 14 countries and supported in the areas of category sourcing, cost optimization, knowledge sharing and sharing best supply chain practices.
He is a cross-discipline business leader who delivers high impact projects and solutions that balance quality and cost management. Joseph steers his team into challenging the existing ways of working with a drive to eliminate waste. Joseph is passionate about innovative solutions that increase the speed to Market and meet the global standards of the Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Bachelor’s Degree (Economics Major) from Kenyatta University and is a Certified Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Management (CIPS) in UK.
Amit Luthra

Amit Luthra has over 27 years of experience across telecommunications, financial services, and consumer products, with strong expertise in program management, startup operations, and building scalable sales and distribution networks.
Amit leads the growth and expansion of Airtel Kenya’s Home Broadband business, driving access to reliable, high-quality connectivity solutions nationwide. He leads a nationwide sales force of team leaders and direct sales teams, with a focus on driving distribution, sales excellence, and market penetration to expand Airtel’s Home Broadband reach across the country.
Before joining Airtel Kenya, Amit served as Chief Business Development Officer – Broadband/Fibre- to-the-Home at ONEOTT Intertainment Ltd. He also held the role of General Manager (Zonal Head) – Operations at Bharti Airtel, among other leading telecommunications organizations, where he built and scaled high-impact businesses.
Amit holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Management from Nagpur University, India.
